CB CHUAH - MANAGING DIRECTOR
CB Chuah holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, and served as Co-Founder and Deputy President (2021–2023) of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Planners (MIEP).
He began his career in banking in 1985, with his last role as Regional Corporate Banking Manager at AMBank Group in 1995, where he participated in several corporate finance exercises and club deals.
From 1996 to 2004, he held top management and directorship roles in various public listed companies (e.g., TENCO Berhad, ANTAH Holdings Berhad, John Master Industries Bhd), focusing on strategic direction and business plan execution to enhance performance and value.
Between 2005 and 2014, as Group Executive Director of Seal Incorporated Berhad (SIB), he led corporate restructuring and strategy, achieving a successful turnaround from near PN17 status to profitability. Notably, he transformed Selayang Mall into a high-yield asset, later injected into Amanah Raya REITs.
In 2020, leveraging his corporate leadership and business acumen, CB Chuah co-founded Gowise Group with BP Ooi, combining his expertise with Ooi’s in disruptive technology to position the company as a unique market solution provider.
BP OOI - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
BP Ooi holds an Advanced Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC). He co-founded CryptoValley, Malaysia’s first cryptographic association, in 2019 and currently serves as its Treasurer.
From 2005 to 2012, he was with Mobile Money International Sdn Bhd, one of Malaysia’s early e-wallet providers specializing in remittance. Over eight years, he worked with major organizations such as AirAsia, Syabas, Astro, TM, Genting, iPay88, MOLPay, Celcom, and Great Eastern, developing strong business acumen, corporate strategy, negotiation, and project management skills. As part of the core top management, he helped grow Mobile Money into a billion-ringgit revenue company.
BP Ooi is also a founding member of Cardinal Capital and has co-founded several tech firms focused on incubating projects and deploying fintech and blockchain solutions.
In 2020, he co-founded Gowise Group and currently serves as Executive Director.
MIKE LEE, CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Mike holds a Bachelor Degree in Security Technology and brings extensive experience in technology leadership and platform development. Prior to joining GoHero, he served as Chief Technology Officer at LOLOL, a prominent food delivery platform, and Vita Me, a leading live streaming application. He currently also serves as Co-Founder and CTO of Legal Compliance Tech Sdn Bhd, a company specializing in the digitalization of KYC processes for enterprise clients. At GoHero, Mike leads the company’s overall technology strategy, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative solutions that advance GoHero’s mission to provide accessible and impactful learning experiences.
goHero's Purpose
It all started with a simple question: Why is quality education still out of reach for so many?
In 2024, during a late-night video call across time zones, Ooi & Chuah decided to change that. They imagined a platform that could bring world-class learning to anyone with a smartphone, regardless of where they lived. That vision became goHero, an online learning company focused on accessibility, relevance, and empowerment.
As word spread, students from rural towns, single parents balancing work and study, and even entire classrooms began using goHero. The app offered bite-sized lessons, interactive quizzes, and community support—all free or affordably priced. With each update, gohero became more than an app. It became a lifeline.
